gear snobs? logo snobs? come on jump on that bandwagon...

PS this thread is for people who have actual experience with the BX4500H/own one... not just people who have "tried" a single Behringer product...

THIS IS NOT A BASHING THREAD... IF YOU'RE JUST GOING TO BASH BEHRINGER DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS THREAD...

I like the BX4500H. It's better than the Ashdown MAG 300H and Warwick Profet 3.2. I guarantee you 75% of all responders in this thread have never heard a Berhinger amp and just jump on the Bezza bashing bandwagon.

I liked my 4500H (except for the tone, or lack thereof), what I didn't like was that it weighed 135 lbs and had four dead speakers attached to it. Just because you got one of the four that actually work, doesn't mean other people haven't flushed their money down the toilet.

Guitar center is manufacturing amps that "look" like old Acoustics. They bought the name. Cosmetically they look the same as the old amps, but are they the old acoustics? Do they have the same insides, same circuit designs? I hope not, technology has moved on. Some people want something because of the "look" but with updated insides.

Guitar center would not be getting praise if they made the same amp and put "Rogue" on the label. Behringer should have considered buying out some old amp name and putting it on the label.

IMHO, best sounding "inexpensive" rig I've played in my 41 years of tryin' to play.
Note: I said inexpensive, not cheap like some of the Behringer bass amps I've tried.

I have played through the BX4500H with the BB410 cab at my friends studio, and I can honestly say that there is no way that amp is 450 watts. My little 300 watt Laney walks all over it.

That said, for the money it isn't that bad really, apart from the fact that it has a lot of knobs that don't really do much to the sound.

The cab on the other hand - a lot of the gear at the studio get's abused by the bands practising in there, he has had speakers blown on a Hartke 4 x 10 (AL ones too!), several cabs with Celestions fitted have been trashed, but the behringer has survived two years of abuse. Go figure! :D

Not yet - it may be. Did you try any of the "Rogue" amps - the old MF/GC house brand amps? :)

Slide your lid off your acoustic and take some pictures. Let's see what the insides look like. And who knows what factory these things are made in.

I've always found Behringer to be a good value. I don't own one of their amps but of the other gear I have it's quality, quiet, and dependable. It doesn't matter how much bashing goes on, they seem to be doing fine in the market. And nobodies posted pictures of the Raiders of the lost Arc warehouse full of broken ones.

I owned the old 300W version of the head when it first came out about five years ago. It was all I could afford at the time, and it did the job well. I had no reliability issues, though I know many have. My biggest gripe was that it was very noisy. For the price, though, I was satisfied. Nowadays, I might choose the new Acoustic heads for inexpensive, highly colored tone.

I own one. I played it very regularly for about 3 years without any problems. I was never a huge fan of the tone by itself but it was not terrible and it didnt matter because when used with a Sansamp BDDI it sounded really good to my ears. That being said, It's not close to my Shuttle 6.0. (Not that a $250 watt amp should be)
