Eden E300T: Any Photos of the Inside Yet?

...bump...

...any different at all?...even in the slightest (apart from the speakon connection, badging, and coming with whatever the Eden warrantee is)?

...looks like a good deal if there is difference, but not such a good deal if there isn't...

...has no one taken a "guts" photo yet?...really?...

Been two days since I picked up my E300T. Thought it was time to open it up and see what it really has for preamp tubes. And since there seems to be an interest in the interior config, thought I'd post some pics. They aren't great, but maybe they at least show a fair display of what makes this thing tick. Here's the first two. More on the way.

UPDATE 3/27/09: Had to delete the original pics to make room to upload the E300 schematics. For anyone who wants the pictures of the interior, check out my Picasa link:

Sorry for the haphazard postings. Still getting used to the TB format.

Another. I think I've hit my TB limit. I can email a few more if anyone really wants to see them. I'm new to TB so there may be another way of uploading more and larger pics. I'm all ears for anyone who knows the system well.

OK. I uploaded them to Picasa. Try this link:

This is awesome Buftfan. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to do this.

If you want to upload more pictures, you could get yourself a photobucket account (free at photobucket.com), upload the pics there and then paste the <IMG code> into this thread.

Cheers,
Duff2

Just checked out picasa...

Nice pics! Thanks again!

Cheers,

Edit: Preamp board for Eden appears to be substantially different (as claimed by Eden). Fame and Ashton are identical.

Definitely different around the bass and mid eq controls (center). But there are a lot of similarities for sure. It doesn't really matter to me as much as others, but I'd be curious to know how Dave got started on this preamp board. I doubt it was from scratch.

Sam,

I sent you a PM w/r to this. I'll look for your response and we can go from there.

Follow up: I actually emailed Eden for the schematics for the E300 just because I like to have them on hand just in case. They sent me the WT500 schematics the same day I requested them (this has been a while back). But this hasn't happened yet for the E300. Not holding out much hope for those any time soon but we'll see.

I asked that same question to Eden. My E300T (ser# 0803N0445) currently has (2) 12AT7 and (1)7025 tubes in the preamp section and (1) 12AU7A for what I believe is a phase inverter. After talking to Tim McCarthy at US Music, I think all the preamp tubes (including the inverter tube) are supposed to be 12AX7 tubes. I had asked about the problems with 1st generation production units and told him the tube config I had, and he immediately gave me an order number and sent out (4) 12AX7 tubes as replacements. According to him ( I am para-phrasing) the earlier units with the varied preamp/inverter tubes made some "crackling" noises and the change to all (4) 12AX7 tubes must have been the remedy. I assume that all the current models now come that way but I can't substantiate that.

I noticed this morning that several Ebay storefronts are now selling this thing for as low as 809. Wonder where this new Eden epiphany is coming from. Two weeks ago we were still seeing this thing at 1100-1200 duckies.

For anyone that purchased one recently, does your unit have the effects loop send/receive jacks on the rear panel with tuner out and f/s jacks? I have seen some pix of models without the effects loop. Just curious of the development of this amp.
