Since the regular season is over, the NHL 2008 thread is....well mis-titled and the playoffs are a different beast all together; I figured I start the NHL Playoff 2009 thread for NHL playoff 09 related discussion.

EASTERN CONFERENCE

Series 'A' - #1 Boston Bruins vs. #8 Montreal Canadiens
Series 'B' - #2 Washington Capitals vs. #7 New York Rangers
Series 'C' - #3 New Jersey Devils vs. #6 Carolina Hurricanes
Series 'D' - #4 Pittsburgh Penguins vs. #5 Philadelphia Flyers


WESTERN CONFERENCE

Series 'E' - #1 San Jose Sharks vs. #8 Anaheim Ducks
Series 'F' - #2 Detroit Red Wings vs. #7 Columbus Blue Jackets

I'll be rooting for Vancouver and Chicago in the west. Props to the Blackhawks for making to the playoffs for the 1st time in seven years!!!!

Just because i have to, though i do like the bruins as well.

Like the flyers too.

In the west, i like the Sharks and Blackhawks.

Flames/Hawks - Hawks in 6


Bruins/Habs - Bruins in 5 (and that's being generous to the Habs)
Caps/Rangers - Caps in 6. A highlight will be Alexander Semin doing his bongo solo routine on Sean Avery after Avery quotes Paul Newman in Slapshot to him.
