OK, so here's the situation.
Drummer starts a cover band about 5 years ago. People come and go just like any other cover band. The drummer books most of the gigs, has most of the contacts, does the promo, picks most of the songs does the setlist. Everyone else helps out where they can with all of this.
Guitarist comes on as a replacement in September. This guy has a lot of contacts and helps book some gigs and gets the band into some new rooms.
He plays with the band for 10 months then decides to quit. Sends an email to tell everyone that he's starting his own band up but will stay on till a replacement is found.
The band finds a suitable replacement immediately, so they tell the guitarist, "thanks for offering to stay on, but we already have a replacement ready to go and we won't be needing you anymore".
So, the guitarist that quit the band decides to call all the places he's booked for the band and tell them that his new band will be taking those gigs and then sends the rest of the band an email tell them that they should take those gigs off their calender.
So, here's the question:
Who has the right to those gigs?
