I am trying to decide between an H or HH i dont slap so i am not worried if pick ups will get in the way. I have a single H available for 750$ and am debating grabbing that or waiting to find a HH. What would be you move?

i just plain don't like the HH one pretty much for no reason but looks,but i'd definatly go with an H anyday.that's just me though,you probably have more tonal options with the HH though,so maybe go with that?

I'd go for the Stingray single H for $750

Thats the classic sound, and a great price.

I'd get the Sterling or Bongo in HH

i like both of my rays, the HH definitely has more tonal options, but for 750 jump on it. great bass either way.

yea its pretty sweet , trans teal with hardcase and 3 new sets of ernie ball strings , it plays great to i like it and never have played an HH but a guy in a band i like does so i was just curious about them.

The guy sold it to me for 730$ actually. He said i am sorry you had to drive and spend your gas money keep an extra 20$, cool dude.

I was going to suggest the HH since you can get the classic 'Ray sound but also have the beefier, bassier sound with the added neck humbucker.

I have a Bongo HS and the single H at the neck makes a world of difference in the overall tone. It goes from bright and honky to deep and growly.

A Stingray only need one pickup. If I had a HH, I'd probably just end up using the bridge pup anyways. My vote is H.

The single H is a great bass, but if you're looking for more versatility and tonal options I would really give a good look at the HS. It's not quite as aggressive as the HH, but I think it has a more balanced and smoother tone. Then again, if an aggressive tone is your thing......
