my SR had the pick up replaced by the Basslines one and it sounds amazing!!! way better then the stock pick up. smae elecs. now with that pick up you get a GREAT difference in the sounds that you did not get with the stock pick up.
I like the H one since I wanted the classic SR sound.
I do not slap or pop so H or HH does not make a difference to me. I had a Warwick Corvettte $$ and the dual humbuckers were soo powerful that it was causing the strings to get stuck on the magnets of the pick ups while playing.

I love my Ray. Great price is that a 4 or 5er? what color?

A Stingray only need one pickup. If I had a HH, I'd probably just end up using the bridge pup anyways. My vote is H.

That's pretty much what I do with my 'ray. I love some of the tones I get out of the HH configuration, but I almost always return (and prefer) the single bridge pup tone.
