First, I have no agreement nor endorsement deal with these folks.

This is Link Removed initial offering to the musical community. It has 6 different fuzzes, explained to me as such:

The first 3 modes are set gain levels, increasing in gain as you increase in modes. the mids also get slightly boosted as you increase in modes.
mode 4 is a gated mode.. no noise, no oscillations, just straight thick fuzz.
mode 5 and 6 are completely different. they add in another clipping stage into the circuit that produces the synth-like tone, it's almost like a different pedal.. it even oscillates differently.

It has a wet/dry mix, an adjustable octave level up and a built in oscillator as well.

I am selling off some pedals to get one of these. Seems like a good pedal to add to the arsenal.

Crossover distortion... so, it can act like the Zvex Machine, but sound good (theoretically) on its own. Plus has some octavia clone in it, a switchable gate, switchable gain stages, self-oscillation, impedance trimpot, and clean blend.

This doesn't look good on paper. This is porn on paper. Fuzz porn.

Anyone care that it doesn't have any tone knobs?

i wish it had a gain knob- and maybe more gain, judging from the clip. the character knob seems to be gain-ish, but it definately changes more than just the gain.

and i have a zvex machine, and from what i saw in the clips, when he turns up the crossover distortion, it definately has that similar texture to it, but it seems nothing like the machine.

if my brown dog sells soon, i'm going to take the plunge and grab a goose- and better yet, record clips with the zoom H4N i ordered earlier today :smug:

I received the pedal today, will anyone be interested in a review of it?

I am also going to try to install my Protools, so I can get some clips created. I have never done this before, so any suggestions on a place to post them to?

To answer this question, it is the same size box as an MXR M-80.

I am thinking that if I cascade this with another fuzz, I will be able to control tone better with it.

The best thing IMO is to make point-by-point comparisons against other similar products that you have used. For example you could say "in its regular fuzz mode it has stronger mids than a typical Big Muff", or "the octave is not quite as synthy sounding as the OC-2, and not as ringing as a Green Ringer, but more distorted than an Octavia" etc. etc. Even comment on the footswitch, jacks, or power supply if they are notably different than other pedals. Comment on the noise floor compared to other pedals. That way we all have some point of reference for your comments and impressions.
