Yowsa!!!!

I am soooo glad that I don't live near:

Rocket Music
405 Draper Rd.
Blacksburg, VA 24060

I would be in soooo much trouble!

All 3 look awesome but that DannyV bass is just beautiful!

Shoot, Joe, we're just a hop, skip and a jump from GA. If you didn't already MapQuest it, you should. We're also only two hours north of the Roscoe shop, so you could pull a two-fer & make it a long weekend. Dinner on me and/or Gard.

Shoot, I'm closer to ya than Joe:D

Which County in Va? MapQuest has 2 results for Blacksburg.

God Bless, Ray

While all three of these are stunning basses, my heart still belongs to a different one that you have in stock.........

Dammit I wish my W2's would hurry up and get here!!!

I may just have to throw caution into the wind and put a deposit down on it in the next week or two...........

Cool, so I spent today recording these three basses!! The good news is that the tone of DannyV's bass just screamed "reggae" to me for some reason. The bad news is... I've never been much of a reggae player :help: I love to listen to it, but I've never developed a good reggae feel in my playing.

Since I wasn't completely confident in my reggae bass line skills, I decided to record this clip kinda bassakwards from the way I usually do a clip. I still started with the drums, but I left my usual step 2 (the bass line) for last. I started instead with the melody, then I did the chords, then I added a harmony part, and finally I struggled and struggled to eventually squeak out a passable reggae bass line.

I used the DannyV-designed bass for the chords, the melody and the harmony parts throughout the entire clip. Then each bass got a pickup lick and one pass at the bassline. In terms of time, the bassline is played by:
0:00 - 0:33 = DannyV bass
0:33 - 1:07 = SKB-3006 Black-Gold/MP
1:07 - 1:47 = Invalid Link Removed

So here's a complete mix of "Rocket Reggae". And here's a partial mix with the melody removed so you can hear the bass lines better.
