Before you read further I’m not interested in trades. My only reason fior selling is I’ve transitioned to 32” scales basses so I’m selling off some of my 34”
I bought Harley Benton PB50-50 bass as a “mod platform”. Surprisingly enough the quality is extremely good and it played great right out of the box. It’s under 8-1/2 lbs and a 34” scale.
When received it had a white pickguard and standard headstock. I reshaped the headstock to match ‘51 P-Bass shape and had custom Harley Benton decals made. I had a black pickguard made, added black knobs and installed a Lindy Fralin Split ‘51P pickup and it sounds great.
I was looking at the Thomann website and these are currently selling new for $115.00 plus shipping, taxes and import duties. There’s no way to tell how much that will elevate the price but it will probably be in excess of $250.
This bass is immaculateI, and it plays and sounds great. I have about $280 invested in mods, pickup, pickguard, etc.
Based on that I’m going list it for $250 with FREE shipping CONUS.
I’m not going to reduce the price because I would rather donate it to a school and deduct it’s as a donation than to just give it away here fir little or nothing.
If you’ve ever wanted a ‘51 style P-Bass with upgrades you’d be hard pressed to find one less than this.
