Using a bass amp with electric guitar?

Thanks everyone for your responses! I got a brief moment to try it out and as many people mentioned, it sounds fine but needs some EQ tweaking - bass down and treble up and it starts to sound like a guitar amp again. The Studio 40 bass overdrive presets sound pretty terrible on guitar though so...

    Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800

Couple of odd questions... Does anyone here use their Rumble Studio for electric guitar? If so, how is it? Also can you download tones for electric guitar (like the ones you can download for the GT and GTX series of guitar amps) and put them into the Rumble Studio? Basically I'm trying to see...

Using a bass amp with electric guitar?

Heh, yeah, I knew about going bass guitar into guitar amp, heard it was OK in low volumes or headphones but wouldn't dream of doing it for a gig. Good to know guitar into bass amp is fine. But do you think the Rumble Studio 40 can completely replace the GT40? (assuming I'm happy with the tone...

Using a bass amp with electric guitar?

Hey guys! So I have a Fender GT40 for my electric guitar, and a Rumble Studio 40 for my bass guitar. Although both 40 watts, the Rumble Studio is far better, even aside from sound - it's got XLR and 1/4" line outs and FX send/return jacks on the back. It also has 1 10" speaker vs. GT40's 2x...

I hear the GTX-7 is pretty solid. Maybe that’ll work better for you?

Which foot pedal did you use and what were the problems?

    Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800

Yep, hence double the MSRP price tag. But somehow I managed to snag the Studio 40 used for less than I bought the Rumble 40 for (also used but from a store). So I think I'll just return the Rumble 40 and call it a day. Only issue is I have a funky smell on the Studio 40 I need to get rid of :cigar:

    Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800

Heh, if only my wallet weren't empty! I just played around with the Studio 40 last night and it's great. And as RL5 pointed out, there indeed are the bright/contour/vintage "buttons" (though it took a while to find!). So that said, is there anything you think the Rumble 40 can do that the...

    Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800

Thanks!! I'll definitely give this a try when I get home. Oh, I ended up buying that Studio 40 so assuming everything works well (still haven't tried it out, and it's second hand) I'll most likely return the Rumble 40.

Coming back to bass after a long hiatus...

Hello, brand new user here! I started playing guitar about 20 years ago now but never really made it past an amateur level. I just mainly played songs off tabs and noodled with position 1 of the major/minor scale and never broke out of that. I entered the bass realm around 2008 when the church...

    Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800

Question about the Studio 40... I have the Rumble 40 (the regular v3) one, and I really like the bright/contour/vintage buttons on it, as those 3 tones alone cover pretty much every sound I need to play (at my level, anyway). I’m eyeing a great price for the Studio 40. I lose those buttons but...
