Other than possible anomalies at the place where you play the instrument, it's a simple fact that the bridge pickup is single coil, and prone to noise. Edit* this is why I bought a humbucker for the bridge , they are available through nordstrand

Four LCD Tube mics, Four LCD SS Mics, Five SCD Mics, Three Ribbons, and at last count, Fourteen Dynamic Mics..

Not after a 'transparent' sound ..not at all... I'm looking for character, and my Nordstrand PU's will have that for sure... Now studio monitors? That's a whole 'nother ballowax...transparent's good in that respect... Cheers -Steve

Well, even though they said they didn't think they had any necks for this (discontinued) SR 755, they ended up having one, and replaced it. Everything is spot-on, and the only way I'd be happier, is if they would have PLEK'd it first. In other words, very happy with the result...:thumbsup:

BTW, The whole reason I bought this bass...World's better than the usually generic SR755 grain pattern. Gonna become the studio bass up in here...really like it. ..and this is a crappy pic...

None really, but the closest I can equate is #2 when truss is loosened, and #4 when tightened

Here's the thing, if I loosen the truss at all, the whole section from around the 10th to the 24th buzzes because of ski jump. If I set the action to 3.5-4mm the buzzing will stop, but there's now way I'm dealing with that, every one of my other 5 strings has 2.25-2.5mm action at the 12th, and...
