DC24 Dual Compressor aka Rane's Rein

:smug::woot:--:roflmao: Sorry, was I waxing poetically about my favorite effect, spouting zealously that it's so good, it's moved beyond mere 'effect' into staple territory? Like salt on golden arches fries, the x.5 button on your fave base pron video channel. (j/k on the pron) What am I...

    New Nordstrand CND P & J Pickups?? Found on Ibanez SR650 & SR750

Other than possible anomalies at the place where you play the instrument, it's a simple fact that the bridge pickup is single coil, and prone to noise. Edit* this is why I bought a humbucker for the bridge , they are available through nordstrand

    New Nordstrand CND P & J Pickups?? Found on Ibanez SR650 & SR750

Not after a 'transparent' sound ..not at all... I'm looking for character, and my Nordstrand PU's will have that for sure... Now studio monitors? That's a whole 'nother ballowax...transparent's good in that respect... Cheers -Steve

Well, even though they said they didn't think they had any necks for this (discontinued) SR 755, they ended up having one, and replaced it. Everything is spot-on, and the only way I'd be happier, is if they would have PLEK'd it first. In other words, very happy with the result...

    New Nordstrand CND P & J Pickups?? Found on Ibanez SR650 & SR750

@Dale Keown ..What laklandplayer said... And... thanks very much for the info!! A BigSplit will be making it's way into both my SR655, and 755. If it has anywhere near the mojo of the 'P' Nordstrand, I'll be ecstatic...:hyper: Cheers Fellas.. -Steve

See? I'm not on here enough to get where everyone is coming from..hahah.. At first I thought it was humor, but then I thought "I wonder if this is just some exaggerated TalkBass visual that folks here use, and he wants a serious answer.?".lol... ****************************************...

None really, but the closest I can equate is #2 when truss is loosened, and #4 when tightened

Thanks Bruce and others, So I get an e-mail today from the big rep of Ibanez, and he sends me an RMA, prepaid. I sent him a few questions back, like: "Are you going to try and fix this with solely truss and bridge adjustments?" Still waiting for a reply.. Hey... If they can fix this under...

Here's the thing, if I loosen the truss at all, the whole section from around the 10th to the 24th buzzes because of ski jump. If I set the action to 3.5-4mm the buzzing will stop, but there's now way I'm dealing with that, every one of my other 5 strings has 2.25-2.5mm action at the 12th, and...

Oh, and in case any of you are saying "send it back to the store you bought it from"...hold on a bit.. The whole reason I bought this particular bass, was the very unique wood pattern of the body.. If you look at most 755 pics, the body wood is generic at best, but this particular 755 has a...
