    Epiphone thunderbird pickup buzzing noise

Had to replace the pots in my t-bird Classic IV. Put in c.t.s. pots., everything is wired as from the factory. Solder connections are good and tight yet I'm getting this buzzing noise. It goes away if you touch anything that is in the ground circuit (strings, pot body, even the end of the...

Intonation still off - can't make strings any longer

Hi Peter I've run into this with Roto's before. I've tried them on my Warmoth and could not intonate the E string properly but Fender flats set up just fine. Had the same issue with the Fenders flats on my Thunderbird. Kind of weird. As a rule of thumb, the heavier the gauge, the further back...

    Fender Bassman 400H- Input issues

Hey there Doublemuff216. Just saw your older post here. Did you ever find a remedy? I have the same minor issue w/ mine. (Funny, I have the same 410, 215 setup. Does kick ass). I was thinking of cleaning the pots and jacks to see if that helps?

    Fender bassman 400H distortion problem

I'm getting a sporadic distortion problem with my bassman head. The signal will suddenly distort or even drop out all together. It sounds like the distortion you get with a bad cord but I know it's not the cord. This issue will go away just as fast as it shows up. It also seems to happen within...

    Hello from New Hampshire

Hey there fellow bass players. I'm fairly new here on the forum and never did this intro so here we go. I saw The Who in Boston back in 79 (13th row on the floor) and have been infatuated with the bass ever since. I started playing w/ a cheapo amp and bass as a hobby a few years back and the...

    Epiphone bridge help...

Sorry, a little late here. I used nylon washers on mine (after I super glued the ferrules) they're a little thicker than steel washers and won't rattle with any vibration. Really seems to be a perfect fit.

    Help with Epi Tbird darkness.

I use a Sansamp RBI preamp. It gives my Epi T Bird a rich, full tone. Try one if you can get your hands on one.

    Thunderbird Club

Hi there TBird1958, might I have a number in this most esteemed club? There's a pic of her bellow. Just installed the hipshot tuners and bridge. Had the ferrule pulling issue that I've hear mentioned here & came up w/ a pretty good solution if anyone is in need. Thanks John

    Thunderbird Club

Hey Reservoir Dog, when I bought my T Bird, my wife didn't know about it until she stopped by to see me at work and a friend said,"hey does she know about the new bass yet." Uuhhmm, she does now. Awkward!!!!!

Hipshot bridge on my Epi Thunderbird

Just put a hipshot on my Thunderbird and it's pulling the ferrules out a bit. Any tips to correct this?

Epiphone Thunderbird - No Tone Control

Just seeing this for the first time. If you're still having that problem, I'd check the solder joints on the capacitor. The cap will bleed some of the high end off to the ground. A bad joint will yield no results. If your not sure if it's good or not, take a solder iron to the solder joints and...

    Doobie Brothers Tone

Anyone know what strings Tiran Porter used back in the day? Awesome tone.
