    Ampeg B18 speaker ohm question

Interesting that this topic recently came up considering my latest project. I recently tracked down an original 60s b18 extension cabinet in kinda rough shape. Unfortunately the label inside is missing so I cant confirm an actual year. The speaker appears to be a 60s 15 Ohm (yes 15) Fane 60w...

    problem with bridge!!

To answer the OP question, Yes there is such a thing as narrower bridge spacing. It's common on vintage mosites and actually can take some getting used to. If you bass is what I think it is...It originally came with a more basic bridge with two intonation riders/saddles (ala vintage fender)...

What Washburn Bass Do You Own (Database)?

I worked for a Washburn dealer from the mid 80s to the late 90s and remember that line. It was the bass version of the HB50 guitar from 86?? I think?. Sorry but I cant remember for the life of me what the exact model name of the bass was,IIRC it was listed in the price list but never appeared...

    Dimarzio Model One questions

Sounds a bit like my 70's Pedulla-Orsini. Lots of tonal variety and a couple switches to play with. You might look into them for some wiring/other ideas. & FWIW the bridge pickup poles dont line up due to the narrow spacing but I cant say I ever noticed a problem from it.

    Thunderbird Club Pt.7

I have one and so to a couple others around here. It's really no different than a standard thunderbird IV with the expection of the finish and hardware. It's up to you if the 500 up-charge is worth it but I really liked the color. Incedently, my local guitar centers put them on sale over...

    Thunderbird Club Pt.7

I haven't played mine a ton either but the little I have I like it a lot. It has the exact same feel and sound as my heritage cherry one. Maybe after it has it's first scratch I'll get the nerve to take it out of the house, for now it's too perfect! :D

Wow! Check out this guy's bass!!

I got to try out a Dan Armstrong London bass with the sliding pickup once and was amazed by the different tones you could get out of it. It was a single pickup that could slide the entire length of the body from bridge to fretboard IIRC. Still kick myself for not buying it because I havent seen...
