Preventing belt scratches

Black isn't clear :D
The adhesives in tape may or may not jack up your finish...

Just plain ole clear, static cling plastic would suit me best, if I were to use a product like that. ymmv, etc.

I always try to remember to shift my belt over to the left. Don't always remember though. Sometime just the jeans/pants button is enough to do some damage. Already wearing my new Satin Series P somewhat. Bugs me a bit but probably gonna happen sooner or later. I'm a gigging player and stuff happens. I may do a few coats of wipe-on poly on the back of the bass for some added protection or just play the s---out of it like my son said to do. Played an outdoor gig recently and wore a zippered jacket. I had remembered to shift my belt but the zipper got it still. Oh well. Just play.

The Guitar Condom does not list a Fender P bass model, (only Fender J).

A couple years ago, I sent them an email, asking if they had one cut specifically for a Fender P bass, and they never responded.

get one of these and it'll always be above your belt :D

Why would you want to prevent it?

Yeah, I know, that's just me... :rollno: I don't like scratches, no in the front, no in the back, its just a thing in my head. The only yeah I could avoid it would be with a "road worn" kind of bass, this way I won't feel guilty... maybe a "hardcore aged" sandberg... oh oh.... GAS is coming...

two options for me - shirt out or a bandanna that I wrap around the buckle (handy for later to wipe neck down)

I like the banana idea, but it would look weird no? ... Oh, banDANna. :p but still, yeah, I like it. Since I sweat a lot I always got one tucked in my rear pocket...

Just wear a sock...it worked for Flea.

My wife says NO WAY.... :bawl:

you could just gain weight. im fat and ive never had a problem with belt scratches since my gut covers the belt.

this obviously isnt a serious recommendation. but it is true lol

I'll really have to eat some BACONATORS... triple ones!

Thanks everybody for the advices... :hyper: I would really want to just don't give a :spit: about it since I LOOOVE this bass and shes definetly a lifetime keeper but I'll give a try to the bandanna.
