So a couple days back I get my Monobrow record in the mail. Today I get the first issue of my Decibel subscription that happens to have a nice nod to Hunters in it. Now if only I had an 810 or a 215 showing up on my porch tomorrow hah.

Buddy of mine has had this sg bass hiding in a closet for a long time. Traded him a squier strat I modded for it today. Doesn't get more doomy or sludgey than a beat to hell no name bass that's built like a brick and probably has never been cleaned. Crappy cell pic.

It has a unrestricted 30 day trial period which technically never expires. But the home version is only like 40 - 50 bucks. I really like it.

Ya I don't notice an obvious tonal difference either but I do love how it feels.

While I always love a maple board when playing but I've somehow ended up with all rosewood on all my basses. Though I wouldn't mind trying ebony on a bass though I love it on my guitar that has it.

That is awesome man. There is something about the cello that is just amazing and haunting. Not really doom but Virgin Black makes great use of cellos and even full on orchestration in their albums. Kind of a goth, doomy, black metal hybrid. I'm hoping my son will show interest in music that...

The planet waves straps with the locking ends are really short. Or at least they were a couple years back. I'm 6 foot and rather large and they were unusable for me without the guitar at my neck hah.

Get'em get'em straps are also really long. Longer than the Ernie Ball straps. They seem to be a wide variety of materials if I remember correctly.
