Got a chance to check out the Artist. I think I need to work on the wiring a bit but it also sounds incredible. Very much like a jazz which makes sense as its got two single coils. Such a cool looking bass. I'll get some DSLR pics up soon.

Also I post a lot more now that I have a iPhone and the TB app. #nerd! But seriously, maple or rosewood board. Reason I ask my old number one has fallen to last place. It was my first build so I don't want to part with it so i'm going to mod it. It has a very wide 1 11/16 all maple neck and a nordy p/j set and I'm going to swap those out. I want a jazz type neck and more vintage sounding pups. Suggestions?

I've had lots of ebony fret boards. I really like the way they look. I really don't notice a tonal difference. Like, at all.
I prefer rosewood personally. I like how it feels a bit more. I prefer wenge to both, but between maple and rosewood I'd go rosewood.

Ah cool cool forgot to reply to this last night. I seem to still be overlooking the download link somewhere I'll try tomorrow when I'm more awake. I'll have to hold off on the shirt until i either lose an obscene amount of weight or you start pressing 4x shirts hah. Only draw back I have with being a big guy is not being able to wear all the band shirts I'd like to wear hah.

The current maple has to go, it the widest neck i own (and they make AFAIK) and its just too un comfortable. i like the maple look just feeling out suggestions. Thinking bound and blocked in M or RW too.
I spotted a squire jaguar neck block inlays and black head stock, but it was sold. Think a trip to GC this weekend to try some necks out is in order.
I can't that much of a difference either, but prefer maple. Some of the reason being that I like the cosmetic wear to show. Like it's an old confortable shoe.
Only time I like maple fretboards is when they have some cool figuring in them. My ATK did and so does my PBass. My buddy recently got the same 75 Ibanez PBass I did but his is fretless and the maple figuring on it is amazing.
Can anyone find me a wiring diagram for a two single coil bass (jazz bass?) with V/V/T and a 3 way selector switch? I think one of the pots on the Artist is going bad but I'm also not sure the wiring is correct. When the switch is in the center position, which I would assume a pickup blend, if I turn one of the two V knobs down all the way it acts as a kill switch. Quite weird.
Also, it doesn't matter what pot you solder the bridge ground wire to does it? All these Jazz diagrams have it connected to the Tone pot but I put it on the bridge volume pot.
