New bass has arrived. A masterpiece. The neck is amazing. A maple cap with a 1.5” nut from Musikraft. John finished and shaped the neck and it is wonderful.

Ha! It was so over-sanded that it would have been like a 7/8 version of a Fender P. Maybe we can use it to build a youth-model bass sometime. :)

Mint on those HWY "blondes" is cool. Almost gives the bass pinkish tinge....which I like, anyway.....

I used those HWY 1/One bodies for a lot of projects. They are great. That blue looks almost Daphne instead of Sonic. Maybe it's the PG you used. Awesome. And the DiMarzio's would be a great addition.

My 1st Pat Wilkins paintjob "was" a burst as well. A Highway burst that just did not "do it" for me. Hey, Fender painted over a ton of those bursts....we're just following their lead! :)
