My '90 Foundation very quickly became my go-to bass. I picked up an '89 last night to keep it company :). Also have an '87 Patriot, can't get enough vintage Peavey goodness. Mine also get played through a Rumble :).

Yeah, the first time I took a Super Ferrite bass to band practice, my singer was like "whoa, did you add reverb or something?".

We leave them in the living room year round - Mrs Aahzz and I both love having them all the time :)

Yeah, I'm up to 3 myself after grabbing an 87 Patriot about 2 months ago....have the Patriot, a '90 Foundation in Sunburst, and now the white '89. All with Super Ferrites - I love those pickups!!!!

They're my favorite knobs as well. It bummed me out that a previous owner had removed the rubber grips from my Sunburst Foundation, so I was very happy to find them intact on the white one.

There are plenty of vintage US Peavey fivers still out there, the prices and quality are both great.....for example: Invalid Link Removed

Another one followed me home - paid slightly more than I wanted to at $245 with OHSC, but the bass and case are both in such good shape that I really don't mind...

I'm so addicted to these basses. Love the tone, love the neck, dread the day the prices go up when people really discover them. Wanted another Foundation to go with my sunburst '90, and have always wanted but never managed to own a white instrument. Found this '89 Foundation on Craigslist and...

Speaking of relining Peavey bullet cases, I finally got around to lining the case for my 87 Patriot today - well, mainly Mrs Aahzz did, but I offered much assistance :).
