My favourite music shop is a small one-man shop as well. It's Muziekhandel Oudenaarde here in Belgium. The owner is one of the most fantastic persons I have ever met and he is always ready to help and do some small talk afterwards. I love going there!

Got my newest bass set up to my liking by someone I know, and I'm learning to do it myself on my SRX430. It's starting to work, but I still have to learn a lot :)

You're right though! It's an SRX430, comes (or came) in white and red, both with a black pickguard. The black striping is something I did myself. :)

Thanks man! :) And modding is indeed what I'm planning to do with my squier. ALready got a black guard for that one too (now it's full black), and next are going to be the pickups :)

For metal I would most definitely go for an Ibanez bass with active pickups. The growl and the punch you get from those are way better that a squier in the same price range, unless you can replace a squier's pickups with something Quarter Pounder like. Ibanez should be the way to go if you're...

Best: My Fender Nate Mendel Signature P Bass, what a beast!! Pic below: Link Removed Worst: Not really that bad but, my Squier Affinity P Bass. Plays pretty decently for a cheap bass, the only negative are the pickups.
