    Mom & Pop Shops

My favourite music shop is a small one-man shop as well. It's Muziekhandel Oudenaarde here in Belgium. The owner is one of the most fantastic persons I have ever met and he is always ready to help and do some small talk afterwards. I love going there!

Upgrading a Squier piece by piece

I want to keep most of the wood how it is, definitely the body and maybe the neck. I'd get the neck checked to see how decent it really is and if necessary, replace it with a Fender neck. But I really like the weight, the feel and also the look of my Affinity P, so I want to keep that how it is...

Upgrading a Squier piece by piece

I've started playing a couple of years ago using a Squier P-Bass Affinity, and since it has a lot of emotional value for me, I was thinking of upgrading it piece by piece. Now I have two questions, is it worth upgrading an affinity? Especially considering I have a Fender Nate Mendel Signature P...

NEVER settle for a bass if...

Got my newest bass set up to my liking by someone I know, and I'm learning to do it myself on my SRX430. It's starting to work, but I still have to learn a lot :)

Haha, can't blame you! Looks and sound awesome! Got any pictures of it? :)

    Show your White Basses!

You're right though! It's an SRX430, comes (or came) in white and red, both with a black pickguard. The black striping is something I did myself. :)

NEVER settle for a bass if...

Thanks man! :) And modding is indeed what I'm planning to do with my squier. ALready got a black guard for that one too (now it's full black), and next are going to be the pickups :)

    Ibanez vs squire for metal

For metal I would most definitely go for an Ibanez bass with active pickups. The growl and the punch you get from those are way better that a squier in the same price range, unless you can replace a squier's pickups with something Quarter Pounder like. Ibanez should be the way to go if you're...

NEVER settle for a bass if...

you are not 100% sure you love it and if you buy it because it has good reviews while you never touched it. Here's my experience: I had two bases up until recently. My cheap Squier P Bass Affinity is the bass I started with a couple of years ago. I went to a friends house who was a bass player...

Best & worst bass purchases of 2014 to-date

Best: My Fender Nate Mendel Signature P Bass, what a beast!! Pic below: Link Removed Worst: Not really that bad but, my Squier Affinity P Bass. Plays pretty decently for a cheap bass, the only negative are the pickups.

Nate Mendel P Bass or an alternative?

Thanks man :) Took it to band practice today, plays like nothing I've ever felt before! It's such a beast in both sound and playability, I'm in paradise! :)
