Sorry for the double post but I should probably add that the guitarist I play with uses a Vox Ac30 and I struggle too be heard over that with the Mag 300. Although i know Wattage is a poor measurement of volume would the 1000W SVT-7 be much louder than say the 500w Tone hammer?

Man it felt good, this was taken at a school talent quest, my bass playing is a bit rough in some areas but it felt great to be playing live again. There really is no comparison to playing by yourself. Anyway there is no harm in shameless self promotion right?

That looks awesome dude, i can't wait to get mine. I have been waiting weeks for my 2 Seymour duncan pickups and the pre amp to come from the States. I'll put up some sound samples if anyone is interested in the difference.

I would get them but i live in australia and no shops sell that brand and i would rather get them local incase something goes wrong. Also whats a blend knob?

Thanks for your help guys. I have decided to go with 2 Seymour duncan music man replacements and to replace the OLP pre amp with a Seymour duncan one. This should give me a pretty awesome stingray like tone which is what i want.

Ok so if i take out my basse's pre amp how do I wire the two EMG's together? All the wiring diagrams i have found have been for a single pickup.

Yeah well i have tried to contact EMG but they haven't gotten back to me yet. I thought that the MMCS's have a built in pre amp? Can anyone who has them confirm this?
