Is that coil splitting a very complicated mod to install? Does that give the humbucker tone as well as regular mustang tone in one, or is the single coil tone it's own thing?

How's the tone on one of these? Is the fender mudbucker as muddy as the gibson and how does it compare to a regular mustang pick up and how does that mustang pick up compare to a p-bass pickup (which at least looks kinda similar)? Sorry, a lot of questions, but been lookin for a nice short scale...

i've given it a million billion chances and still don't like it. a few good songs, but severely bad compared to any of their better albums imo.
