the BadMonkey is a TubeScreamer-Clone with an added Tonestack. So you can apply all the mods you find in the web. Few are: changing input/outputcaps (as mentioned) and the clippingdiods adding a wet/dry mix ....

I bought a used (4 years old) Ashdown ABM 1,5 years ago. Despite some damage on the tolex everything is ok. So I can give a good opinion on the ABM, don't know if it is conveyable to the MAG

Flats (at least the ones I know) produce a warm, punchy sound which is the natural enemy of the Growl. That's the reason why I keep rounds on one of my basses

The LR Bags is recommendable. Natural Sound and very easy to use

I love my modified EHX Small Clone...it's got a depth and a blend pot, which make it possible to keep the punch (I'm a bass player) while using this effect

what do you mean? True bypass only means the the whole circuit is taken out of the signal path...this can be done by a switch (Hardware-true-bypass) or electrical

what about the Ibanez Artb100 with golden hardware put on?
