Triaging signal noise in home studio configuration

I have? I confirmed the issue persisted with the switcher completely out of the equation (bass > amp > cabinet), which was why the Q of cables and/or better shielding may be a solution. It's tough though, since my Rob Allen Mouse (active, piezo pickups) also has this issue, but there's no...

Triaging signal noise in home studio configuration

It honestly might be worth it to just do a sweep of all my cables regardless. I did notice just now when I touch the cables connected to the back of the switcher the signal goes away, so again I can't seem to pin down where thing originate!

Triaging signal noise in home studio configuration

It is, ugh I feel like I'm losing my mind. Should I seek to get all my basses better shielded?

Triaging signal noise in home studio configuration

Yeah - the noise is present when just messing with the cable. I spoke with a friend who's a guitarist/tech and that's when the convo of dirty power came about.

Triaging signal noise in home studio configuration

Thanks! Right now I'm not even factoring the computer into this, it's purely the speaker system. The current config is this: Bass > pedalboard (using a looper for everything) > De Lisle amp/cab switcher > Amp (either an Ampeg SB12 or Aguilar AG500SC) > Bergantino 112

Triaging signal noise in home studio configuration

I'm trying to isolate where a nasty, pitchy noise is coming from in the home studio setup I've been building. I have been going through the steps to identify the cause of this. I've found a lot of videos about 50-60 cycle hum, but nothing I've seen replicates this distinctly pitchy noise I'm...

SOLD Noble Dual Vacuum Tube Preamp/DI #15

An early representation of what has become a part of every gigging and recording bassist's gear! At #15 (photo below), this is one of Jack's earliest models- only six off from Janek's #9! I sent this over to Jack early last year to replace one of the 9v plugs and for a complete servicing, and...

No longer available Guild Newark St. Collection Starfire I

I grabbed this from a consignment shop this past winter. This is a great adaptation of the classic Starfire semi-hollow basses. It is adorned with a maple top, sides, back, and neck, in a cherry stain with a poly finish. Also comes with straplocks and an OHSC. Will consider shipping CONUS...

No longer available Rare 2014 Ribbecke Halfling Bobby Vega

An absolutely stunning Bobby Vega Halfling by master luthier Tom Ribbecke from 2014. I bought this about a year ago, and while I love the aesthetic of this instrument, I don't think this is right for me. The woods leveraged are Flamed Maple for the sides, back, and neck, and a great carved...

PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

UPDATE! I already made a tweak to the board diagram, and have the setup almost fully wired. Probably could be cleaner with some custom-length cables, but that'll come in the next iteration (whenever that is...).

Here's the latest for my big board (posted on here in a few spots, but included a visual representation of wiring while I wait for cable ties in the mail)
