    Since my last post, I put a set of flats on the bass, (no idea what they are, fairly light gauge with orange silk at the headstock end only) and I'm sort of liking the sound. I'll leave them on for rehearsal, see how it goes... Sundogue, many thanks for that, I think I'll have to suck it up...

    Ashdown EQ

    If you have a tone you're happy with, note that down. I mean everything, from the bass to any pedals to the exact settings on the head. Take it to rehearsal and tweak. When you get to a tone you think you like, put it back to the original and compare.
