Over here in the UK, we have 240v mains, so when I plugged in my American Series tungsten filament bulb, it was way too bright for my tastes. I find that custom made British bulbs give the best light/dark balance straight out of the box, with no need for dimmers.

+1 for him. I had Jah Wobble on driving in this morning and my car speakers were buzzing all the way. Saw him play at the 100 Club in London a couple of years back and he was awesome. I didn't mention him in my earlier post, because to me, he's certainly not underrated, obscure or unappreciated.
