    Will 055 - 075 - 095 - 115 fit in the nut of a P Bass without filing the nut?

    Yeah so basically my new band plays in C standard and I was planning on getting some 055 - 075 - 095 - 115 strings on my MIM P Bass for it and was wondering if they would fit on the nut as I don't have any tools to file it down. Answers very appreciated!

    Drop A# on a 5 string bass?

    So, I would like to know if you can play in drop A# on a 5 string bass (tuning the B string to A# and so on) or would it make the tension weird since you would have to tune up all the strings except for the B string?

    Hello, my band plays in drop A# (A# - F - A# - D#) and I would like to play in that tuning with my 4-string P bass and I would also like to know if it's possible to play in that tuning with .110-.55 gauge strings. I know it's a really low tuning but I would appreciate any answer! :)
