Can I join? Bought a Synapse 4-string a month ago and it's pretty much the only bass that's been out since. Generally stuck to using the EMG but had a go this weekend using the piezo mixed in high - and loved the thump with the scrapping/body sounds generally disappearing into the mix.

I have an EMG MMCS which is, I believe (and correct me if I'm wrong...) the active version of the MMHZ - both are "ceramic and steel" pickups. The MMCS comes with the preamp and tone and volume controls. I added in a BTS Control for bass and treble. I stuck the whole lot in a Vintage brand...
