Fender Vintera It 50's Precision Bass Pickups- WOW!

Thanks for the offer! I'm in the US. I think I may have just scored a set! Apparently, for every person who loves the Vintera pickups, there is a person who doesn't. I guess that could be said about any pickup .

Fender Vintera It 50's Precision Bass Pickups- WOW!

I have another bass that I gig with that I would like to have sound similar to my Vintera. There were some on eBay and Reverb, but I waited too long and missed them

Fender Vintera It 50's Precision Bass Pickups- WOW!

I picked up a used Fender Vintera II 50's Precision from a friend who hated the hefty neck. I was completely taken by surprise after I threw on a set of TI Flats and plugged it in. The tone I get when playing with a pick is the best I've heard in nearly 50 years of playing. The tone almost made...

New Aguilar SL112 Made In Vietnam

I still have the AG500 V1 that I sent to Aguilar for repair about 8 years ago. After 6 more years of gigs, it's back to making no sound. The amp owes me nothing. Whether it's Aguilar or any other amp, if you use them enough for what they were built for, they can eventually fail. Used mostly in...

New Aguilar SL112 Made In Vietnam

I'm almost embarrassed to say that this is the second time I was duped by country of origin. Several years ago I bought two Markbass Traveller 102P's right about when Markbass moved their production out of Italy. It was years later when I noticed that they were "Made In Indonesia." I played the...

New Aguilar SL112 Made In Vietnam

I pulled the grilles off of the new and older SL112's and the speakers look identical. I don't have the energy to pull out the speakers right now.

New Aguilar SL112 Made In Vietnam

I'm sure this is just a simple oversight with no deceit intended, but it is deceptive. Attachment is from the Aguilar website 12/21/2025 .

New Aguilar SL112 Made In Vietnam

I haven't weighed it, but it is in line with the older cabinet.

New Aguilar SL112 Made In Vietnam

I purchased another SL112 cabinet directly from Aguilar to go with the one I already have. Needless to say, I was mildly surprised to see the "Designed In NYC and Made In Vietnam" on the box, and on the cabinet jack plate. It's not really a big deal since the cabinet sounds just as good as the...

    Birdsong Club Pt 2

Hi everyone! I posted in the wanted section, so not sure if this is ok to post here. I am looking to add another Birdsong bass to my family. I am looking for a Corto 4 or Sahana with the single Delano pickup. I would consider a Corto as well. Does anyone have a lead on a nice condition...

Can you please post a few clear pictures of the lower frets near the nut that show the amount of fret wear?

Gimme your best 112 Cab Recommendations (this thread again)

I've used two GS112's for about ten years now and see no reason to change to anything else. They are a few pounds heavier than most newer cabs, but they'll punch as good as any high-end cabinet. Even though Aguilar still makes them, they are yesterday's news around here.

Songs That Producers Totally Messed Up..

Donald Fagan's Nightly. Not sure who's at fault, but it's too trebly. The CD version anyway.
