TC Electronic RH450, RS210, RS212 Review Thread (Lucky Part VII)

Please stop feeding the troll, everyone. I'd like to see if there is any *other* reason not to have this head on my shortlist. So please let the thread move on. Thanks.

    Metal Vox

Frank Zappa fell off stage and broke his voice, quite literally - got a fifth or so deeper afterwards. Might be the hard way to do it, but, hey, that's Rock'n'Roll ... :hiding:

Any 'issues' from Squier CV owners?

Just got myself a 60's CV Precision. Frets are smooth, hardware feels solid (time will tell about durability), it's dead quiet, and the finish is absolutely flawless. So far, I have found nothing to complain about. Can't say this about my VM fretless Jazz, which in fact has issues with the...

Look at what the mailman brought! A fretless P!

Saw this one on ebay, drooled a bit, but decided not to take the risk bidding for it unseen. That's why you got it so cheap :D

    Fretless-Lined or unlined?

Well ... not quite ... it's more like the bass is a bit further away, so looking straight down gives a fine view on the back of the neck, not the FB. That's what i heard from a friend, of course, not that I myself, I mean, ah, just hearsay, you see ... :ninja:

How long is too long to wait for a speaker cabinet?

From what I've seen in German online stores lately, I'd place my bet on Tecamp.

    How to play Fretless ?

Plus, when you see the side of the neck only, the fretlines give exact positions for the lowest string only. For the other ones, you need to take perspective into account and estimate correct positions just as you would with an unlined neck.

The Fender Jazz passive fretless club

Rotosound 77LD on a VM Jazz Fretless here. For flats they sound not entirely flat (still some brilliance in there), plus they provide quite a high string tension. Won't give you the notorious nasal fretless sound as much as a fat, round, and quite versatile sound with good attack. I'll take...

    The Fretless Club (Part 2!)

See here. Found that the fret lines bug me more than they help.

    Roland Club?

I use a CB30 for practice. As a beginner, I like the amp simulation since I get to try several characteristic bass sounds in one box. Question is: How close are these to the originals? Of course I don't expect a 30W 10" Transistor/Digital Combo to /really/ match an SVT with 810, for example...

    Squier Owners Club

As a bass noob I enjoy my Vintage Modified JB Fretless a lot, but I seriously wish it came with an unlined neck. Has anybody successfully bolted a Warmoth neck on a VMJ?

    The Fretless Club (Part 2!)

Sorry for quality & size, but everybody here should know how this thing looks, anyway. Behold the fancy fret line cover!

    The Fretless Club (Part 2!)

Virgin post from a still quite virgin bass player. Started about four months ago after nearly 15 years of not making music (former sax dilletante). Went for fretless to avoid fret noise while practicing in the first place, but really like the freedom it gives me compared to being tied to the...
