It's always been my understanding that the Highway One is the American Standard but with a lower cost finish that doesn't require the labor intensive high gloss polishing of the Standards. Spec-wise, I think they're the same.

I just took a set of tapes off my Jazz and replaced them with Fender 9050 stainless flats. I like the flats much better!
