    I put short scale GHS Precision flatwounds, 45-95, on mine (set 3020). These strings sound great, no problems at all.

    I bought a black pickguard from "earlpilanz", the picture of my bass with that pickguard is on page 90. Looks very nice, perfect fit, I only had to enlarge the hole for the jack a little bit.

    You can buy the BX 500 in Germany from http://station-music.de/ In The Netherlands from http//:www.carvin.nl In The UK from Link Removed I payed 429 euro for the amp last year (carvin.nl). Maybe the prices are up a bit now.
