To non-bass players, it probably does seem a fairly simple instrument. But after all the main point of the bass is to hold the rhythm down, and for the majority of us bass players we are modest about primarily filling this role, and don't feel the need to show off unlike guitarists. Just a shame...

I would order from the US if I could a find a website that shipped that model to the UK :( , But the reason why I tried so hard to get it locally is because I really don't trust the couriers and I don't want to have it shipped all the way from the US only to find it broke :( (worse case scenario...

I actually started on drums, but wanted something more 'melodic' within the rhythm section of a band. Neglect the drums quite a bit now, but am sure glad that I picked up the bass. Realise now that I'm more suited to the bass. :)
