You know you´re obsessed with bass when...

//When you pay for a gig ticket and spend the whole night staring at the bassist and nothing else.///

Guilty - to the point where the friend I went to the show with noticed and spent the entire trip home from Atlantic City (we went to the Loggins & Messina show...) teasing me about the fact I spent more time with the opera glasses / mini binoculars staring at the bassist's fingers than I did looking at either of the frontmen...

in regards to the posts about identify bass rigs on TV...hear we go....

You get angry when on TV or music vidoes the camerman never captures a full glimpse of the rig and bass...and if they happen to catch a corner of it you find yourself tilting your head to try to see it...you know like a dog does when you make a funny sound...

My non-musician friends call me on this all the time. We were watching the new Palladia channel. First there was "Weezer in Japan", then Storyteller's Foo Fighters. I was like "wow both the bassists play Laklands." Then NIN's "Somewhere in Time" DVD (I hadn't seen it as I'm not fanatical about them, but a much bigger fan after seeing them live) was played and I'm looking and literally all I had to see was a real quick, dark glimpse and I was like "Thats so Twiggy. I can tell by his stance" Yea total dork moment...

...when you find yourself falling asleep at your laptop, because you lost track of time while working on some music...and it was 4 hours ago when you last looked at the clock...and its now 2am.

You don't remember the night before, but you're spooning your bass with your pants off and the rest of the band is crashed in your living room because "they didn't need to see that"

True story and I wanna know what happened that night...
