You know you´re obsessed with bass when...

LOL
These are great. Keep them coming.
Here's mine.

When someone mentions a wood/ or tree the first thing you think of is what type of tone that wood makes.

When you start humming basslines and your accidentally audible and people look at you.

When your upset cause talkbass is having maintenance and you can't go on it.

guilty on all three.

Firefox.
Just 2 tabs.
One is Talkbass.
The other is the email account where your TB notifications are sent.

On the topic of mahogany that somebody mentioned earlier. This place has really given me an unusually broad understanding of woods from around the world.
That can only be good.

A good (non-musical) friend mentions having work done on his fender, and you blurt out "Dude, I never knew you played!" before realizing he's talking about his car...

You walk bythe frozen section of Wal Mart and out of the corner of your eye you SWEAR you saw a box of "Bartolini" pasta before realizing it says "Bertoli"...

Both true stories... :hiding:

You're constantly on the lookout for music stores and pawn shops in every new city you visit.

You're so obsessed, it rubs off on your significant other; like how at every concert we go to, my wife asks me "what kind of bass is he playing?"

All of your other hobbies/interests get put on hold indefinitely, due to concentrating on bass (I have a couple fixer-upper cars that need to be fixed, and I'm even contemplating selling my "fun" car to buy a boring one...so I can spend less time on maintenance and more time on music).

I alos travel a lot. If I am driving, I have a junker bass that I throw in the trunk to play in the hotel room at nights.

If I travel and cant take my bass, I read music scores on the plane. Yes, people stare. I also bring a metronome, being very careful to remove the battery, lest it start clicking somewhere innapropriate.
