I contacted EBMM, and the person I spoke with said they would not make Slo Special basses on demand and had no short-term plans to re-issue the model. However, they may be exploring a Web-based bass configurator in the future.

I put Gotoh Res-O-Lite tuners on mine without drilling, and it makes the bass 8lbs or less and balances perfectly!

I just ordered a Blackstar Fly 3 Stereo Bass setup for low volume use with my synths and a mixer. If you can, I would pay more and get the Roland Micro Bass Dr RX for a low-volume, smaller practice amp.
