Ampeg SVT Suite - CPU Usage

There are visual lag and cpu spike problems with the latest version of Live, 11.3. They are working on a fix. Not sure if this will solve my specific plugin issue. Hopefully it will.

Ampeg SVT Suite - CPU Usage

I've contacted Ableton and sent them a video of my sample project with one track. I'll let you know if they figure anything out.

Ampeg SVT Suite - CPU Usage

Thanks for the idea. I've updated my motherboard with the latest firmware, A/D Converter has the latest firmware, using the latest Windows 10 version and the latest live version. LatencyMon says my computer is fine. My DAW is from PCAudioLabs and was tuned by them. I've since disabled additional...

Ampeg SVT Suite - CPU Usage

I did a quick test by creating a project with 1 bass track and no other plugins but the SVT Suite. When I play the one track song without the SVT Suite plugin, the CPU is at 3%. When I turn on the SVT Suite, it jumps to 27%. Seems they overlooked something when they were developing this:(

Ampeg SVT Suite - CPU Usage

I know I'm late to the party:) I am digging into my bass sound for recording and started remixing a track that I recorded with the SVT7-Pro. I really loved the tone of that amp. But after fixing it once and reading about all the problems others were having, I sold it and replaced it with the...

    Ampeg SGT-DI Treble Frequency

I've owned two ampeg amps and from a quick glance at a bunch of other user manuals on their site, EVERY ampeg amp Treble knob controls 4Hz. Any thoughts as to why on this pedal the Treble is set to control 8Hz? It just struck me as odd given none of there amps are configured this way. For those...

The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

All of my basses have been built from parts. I put together the Warmoth first because I wanted a P bass with a jazz neck and the look below. Now I can't stop:) All have Dimarzio pups, Babicz bridge and Hipshot light weight tuners. From Left to Right Warmoth neck and body (P) Fender Geddy Lee...

Took me 30 years, but I finally get it: No one cares... what you play

The two things that other musicians usually care about is your ability to play and how your bass sounds (especially if you're recording). Whatever works for you that you like to play!

    I think I've decided I'm more of a 4-string guy...

I have to agree. I went through a phase when I wanted one. Then I restrung a 4 string BEAD, which was kind of cool. Like other posters I've opted for a hipshot to quickly tune down in drop D. As my focus is on original music, I don't need to sound like anyone else:bassist:. When I master four...

    Am I crazy???

I totally get it. After struggling with trying to find the look I wanted, I started building my own, either by designing my own and buying from Warmoth or buying neck & body fender parts via Stratosphere. And now, it's pretty much all I want. Additionally, you can put in the pups and bridge you...

    Standing on you neck...

ah, yes. I will try that if the clamping doesn't get the job done. Thanks!

    Standing on you neck...

putting a shim under the heel will raise the middle of the neck (between the bridge and nut). I'm trying to lower or create a forward bow.
