    EQ and De-mud-ifying my bass!

Are you playing without an amp? If so you should add a preamp pedal last in the chain. And ditch the EQ pedal. Most preamps will have enough EQ. If not, tell us which amp co bo or cab you're working with. Solo practice, or in a band. Practice space or what kind of gig. Also I would...

    Band Name Ideas?

White Bronco, or other dated news refrence. Save the Radio, movie quotes are gold. The Push Pops, a childhood flashback. Hasta lla Vista, famous catchphrases might work

    Mesa/Boogie Titan V12 megathread!

Scored a 2000watt 4ohm aluminum coned 810 cab! Says powered by Buggera on the grill and Behringer on the Jack plate. Sounds earth shattering driven by my Ampeg SVT 7 Pro. So on a whim, I decided to re-test the Titan head with this awesome cab... This time the pre amp out works! Had the FX...

    "Unbuffers" and pickup simulators?

Right? Magic is definitely promised lol But every fx pedals sales copy is like that

    "Unbuffers" and pickup simulators?

So vintage and vintage style fuzz circuits dont react well, if at all, to a buffered signal. Thats why its recommended to keep them first in the chain, sometimes even before a buffered tuner. And definitely before most compressors. Have you ever played with pedal order and lost all yer fuzz...

    "Unbuffers" and pickup simulators?

Great answers on the Lace pickups! Thank you guys. What about the fuzz pedals??? My modern Fuzzes are pretty much happy wherever, but id like to know if anyone has experience or input on the UnBufffers :) Do they let you stack your vintage fuzzes in any order like advertised? Do they affect...

    "Unbuffers" and pickup simulators?

Great read! I might not have put them in my PJ 5 string if I had known that. Have you tried running Alumatones into a vintage fuzz? Do you think an unbuffer would help? I only have one bass with the Alumatones. Hope that doesn't distract from the main question; Im still curious if there is...

    "Unbuffers" and pickup simulators?

Recently learned about these simple, passive devices. I have two issues I think one or more of these might solve, but I have questions... Mainly, will one of these circuits affect the lower frequencies negatively ? Most discussions ive found online are guitar centric. My "vintage" fuzz pedals...

Total novice routing new 2nd pickup near fretboard

This may be a little farther out of an idea... You could route out enogh space for a wireless unit. Perhsps under the upper horn of the pickguard? Then you would only need a charge cable sized hole.

Should I replace my pickups? Or my preamp? or am I just insane?

Some advertise string center to center, some across all strings; outside string center to outside string center. Easiest way, for me, to measure this is with a digital caliper.

Should I replace my pickups? Or my preamp? or am I just insane?

At the risk of bloating and already questionable 2 page thread... Swapped the EMGs for a set of , not exactly cheap, DiMarzio Colossals. I wasn't unhappy with EMGs, but these Colossals are crystal clear! And my thumb likes the rounded edges. Dropped right in. Simply solder/spliced 'em into...
