Squier Deluxe Dimension Bass (IV & V string)

What kind of music are you most interested in hearing this bass in? I like to play just about everything and would love to try it out in the mix for all sorts of music, so I'll take suggestions.

Squier Deluxe Dimension Bass (IV & V string)

Dr Cheese, You happen tp know what size allen key fits the bridge adjustment screws on the Dimension? Mine came with no Tools at all and I have plenty to fit the truss rod, but i don't think I have one small enough for the saddle height adjustment set screw.

Squier Deluxe Dimension Bass (IV & V string)

Yep, no mods required, but it will of course get even getter with a good detailed setup. I have to say though, that my Dimension Bass V would have been perfectly gigable right out of the box. I could have easily tuned it up and played a gig with it. My precision Bass V was a the same, although...

Squier Deluxe Dimension Bass (IV & V string)

have been fiddling with the Squire a bit this morning, on my day off, waiting for the postman with a pack of new strings. I have to say that I rarely ever play at all with the strings shipped with an instrument, but these aren't bad really. They are grimy, but they sound pretty good. I wonder if...

    Low Fret Repair

    I. Was thinking about that already, but am a little hesitant taint because of the laquer on the fingerboard. I'm sure I'll get some chipping. I did verify that it is indeed the one low fret, just on the end under the g string, although a fret level would probably be beneficial overall. I'm just...

Squier Deluxe Dimension Bass (IV & V string)

Just got my Squier Deluxe Dimension Bass V in Black/Maple last night. Haven't been blue to spend much time with it yet, but so far I quite like it. I will be restringing and doing a setup tonight after work or tomorrow am. I am very impressed with the voicing of the preamp and pickup, though it...

    Low Fret Repair

Sounds like a level is in order then. I live the classic p bass tone with this budget Squier bass, and the B string responds nicely as well. I would love to convert to string through body at some point though.

    Low Fret Repair

I was thinking since there is only the issue with the one fret, it'd be best to replace that one and level it to the rest of the frets which are fine, leveling everything from 17 up would work I guess though. It is only on the G string and there's only 29 frets to begin with so we're only really...

    Low Fret Repair

sup low end lovers! I have a 5 string Precision bass (Squier) that I LOVE the tone and feel of, but it has a low fret at the 17th on the g string. This is the only issue at all with the bass. Most folks aren't likely to be using that C nite, but I need it more frequently than I expected and as...

Anyone using the TC-Helicon T1 pedal for vocals? I'm digging it.

I leave the correction off on my Mic Mechanic. The delays are tap able and very easy to use, they sound great and the reverbs sound great. If you don't need the effects though, it appears the T1 has a bit more control over the tone with a Comp/DeEssing control and Contour.

Low end without a lot of note articulation

When you make a mistake, Own It! Confidence is key! It's not the end of the world, don't worry about a missed note, but don't let it get you out of time. Having said that, the best thing is to not miss notes either, lol. Bass players are the most important members of the band. We control how...

Anyone used the ME Electronics M6 Pro?

I am a satisfied owner of the M6 Pro. I use them with a wired body pack which is basically a stereo headphone amp. It's a very cost effective solution to IEM and if you sound guy can send you a mix down XLR, your golden. I will typically take the daisy chain out from my singer's powered monitor...

    Intonation problem driving me crazy

I don't bother with the harmonic when setting intonation. I don't use a 12th fret harmonic when playin, so why eould I use it for setup... I tune the open string, into ate at the 12th fretted, and check that intonation at the 17th as well. I play a balancing act between into ayes perfectly at...
