    NV610 opportunity

I would like to give mucho props to Walknbluez...I am the "out of towner" that was so fortunate to find this great deal. We agreed and met up last weekend, the cab was everything I had heard it to be, was in great shape. I wound up selling my Ampeg SVT 810E to another fellow in Sac, so all it...

    Plek job in Norman

I had a friend of mine recently purchased a $3500 dollar Les Paul with a Plek job. It literally looked and played like an unfinished fret job. The frets looked like someone took a rat tail file to them. I couldn't imagine how they could get proper intonation on any fretted note.

    Ampeg SVT-II appreciation thread

I have a question on the tube bracket that sits above the power tubes. What is the white/grey material that's attached/glued to the bracket? Is it just standard foam? The unit I have doesn't have the bracket and since you can't use bear trap clamps, I figured on just fabricating one. BTW...I...

Will a 8x10 cab fit in the back seat of my car?

I know it will fit in the trunk of a 1980 Honda accord...it's a b1tch to get in and out but it will fit. I also know you can fit an Ampeg V4B (huge fridge cab) in the trunk of an 88 Buick LeSabre AND an 810 in the back seat...AND 2 SVT heads and a bass in the rest of the car...hahaha...leave the...

    Big Cabs Club

My old setup, for years was 2 1974 SVT's, one with an 810, and one with the venerable V4B cabinet (2-15's,folded horn enclosure). I used to pack it in a 77 Buick LeSabre. The V4B in the trunk...bungee the trunk lid... The 810 in the back seat, bass behind the seat on the floor. The front...

    How much power is enough...really?

What?? WHAT?? What did you say???? I should have read the labels...I'm down to about 70%, 24 hours a day sounds like I'm at the ocean...except no waves... As far as what is enough power? One SVT will do up a crowd of 10,000, Two SVT's will do a sports stadium. If you're playing avenue...

AMPEG SVT II CIRCUIT BOARD PHOTO?????????????????????????

Does anyone have a close-up photo of a 1991 SVT II (non Pro) power tube circuit board? I need the section where the 6 pin multi-connector goes. The 1991 SVT II I bought had a 4 inch drywall screw rattling around inside when I got it. Turns out it shorted out a quarter size section of the PC...

Ampeg SVT II circuit board photo????????????????????????

The SVT II I bought had a 4 inch drywall screw rattling around inside when I got it. Turns out it shorted out a quarter size section of the PC board along with a few resistors and caps. I have the parts and a great picture of the backside of the PC board, but I need a picture of the component...

Double Bass A Warning to Bassists, Luthiers, and Dealers

I guess I'm lucky...I have a custom jazz that I wrapped in a few towels, rolled up a few more, closed my "yard sale" Carvin hardshell case, took plain old carton tape and wrapped a few dozen feet around the case, and put a return label on it. UPS shipped it from California from Maryland and...
