Reasons to tell people why you're no longer in a band

We separated due to creative differences, and by that I mean there is absolutely no creative outlet for a married couple who gets excited over window drapes.

    1 Finger or 2

I use up to three when doing 16th/32nd notes at high BPMs (I play a decent amount of metal)...and if you count the thumb I'm up to 4 fingers

How to peacefully get members to adopt to modern live sound/recording techniques.

I agree with you until you brought up the 7, 8, 9 string guitars. I'll say that 9 is certainly overkill, and when you hit the bass octaves it's a little...weird and not entirely necessary. However, if you're staying in the range of a guitar and not a bass, proper equipment can definitely make...

How to peacefully get members to adopt to modern live sound/recording techniques.

It sounds like he's honestly just being stubborn for stubborn's sake, especially if he was unknowingly running mono the whole time before all of this. There's not much you can do but just talk to him about it or maybe have the whole band confront him. I had a similar thing in a recording...

    Warwick corvette

Given the rockbass bit is obviously blacked out, I'm not sure I'd trust the vendor. I'm sure you'll get the bass and all...I just wouldn't want to give someone like that my money. It's possible they did it on their own so when playing live people were under the impression it was genuine, but...

Ampeg PF 800 vs Fender Rumble v3 500

I'm wondering what people's opinion on this are. I'm trying to decide between a fender rumble v3 500 w/ the 2x10 extension cab, or the PF 800 with a single 2x10. They're both pretty light/movable, though the fender in two pieces would be a bit more than the ampeg. Traditionally, the ampeg...

How hard is it to load a 100lb cab?

To contrast the old folks chiming in: I'm 26, and f*** a 100lb cab. I have no interest in showing off how tough I am. I'm in near perfect health and in shape, but with options that sound great and are < 50lbs, I'll pass. I've owned both an 8x10 and a 76lb old fender combo. Not worth it.

How hard is it to load a 100lb cab?

First time you load it: "It's not so bad" Second time you load it: "Yeah I guess this thing is a beast, pretty heavy haha" Third Time: "It's a pain but wow is it sturdy" Fourth Time: "This is really a b*tch" Fifth Time: "I should sell this and get a rumble" Exp: Owned an 8x10 for years

    Cleaning an Unfinished Maple Neck

Yeah it's friggin weird, but it's a great feeling fretboard. I'm kind of spooked on sanding it, but maybe steel wool will do?

    Cleaning an Unfinished Maple Neck

EDIT: I'm concered about the *Fretboard* not the neck itself. I've got a somewhat rare configuration of the Brice HXB 405 (rondo music brand) and it's got an unfinished maple neck. Yes, I'm positive there's no finish. Damn thing gets full of finger gunk fast. I'm afraid to use any sort of...
