Funny, pressure wounds have been on my short list of strings to try for a while. I don't think that's what these are, but it's probably what I'll end up putting on if I can't ID these.

Yeah, it's a talman. Hopefully they're not a unidentifiable generic string. I really do like these better than any other roundwound I've tried. They feel very smooth and have an even tone.

I really like the strings that came on my new Ibanez TMB300, but I'd prefer a little heavier gauge. Can anyone tell what make these are? Roundwound, don't think they're coated, black silk at both ends and brass ball ends.

This thread inspired me. Stopped by Home Depot and got a gallon of Rust-Oleum 4X since it was available in white. My Avatar B212 is in progress now.

I'm looking for something comfy that I don't mind getting banged up on 3 hour bar gigs. I worry because the telecaster bodied bass I have doesn't balance well at all without some help from strap locks, a huge strap and wheel weights in the cavity. I can't imagine the Talman is much better...

Question for anyone that owns one: how do they balance while standing? looking for an inexpensive P/J beater and I've always loved this body style.

I don't have good recording gear at home, but it's going to my gig this Saturday. Maybe I'll get something there.

I agree about the head stock. It would look better with a 4+1 like fender does on most of their 5s. It's a reach to tune the g while standing.
