    Fender Reggie Hamilton Bass Club

I have a CS 5 string Reggie Hamilton. I have not even thought about retrofitting the preamp as I am VERY happy with the entire bass just as it is. IMO it is the perfect P/J bass if you want a jazz type body and neck. Wish Fender(or Reggie) would do a J/J pick up configuration with a new...

    2013 Ampeg V-4B 100W Reissue Pt2

Rivets????? You're kidding, right? I emailed Ampeg tech support. Let's see if they will resolve it. Otherwise it's going back to the retailer and they can deal with it. I've been playing Ampeg products for over 40 years and not run a cross this. In addition to great sound I expect perfect...

    2013 Ampeg V-4B 100W Reissue Pt2

I was also one that got a dead V4B, but fortunately the replacement worked fine. I have one other issue that I have noticed that is cosmetic. I was so happy over the great tone when I finally got one that worked, that I didn't notice that the metal trim piece that runs along the very bottom of...

    2013 Ampeg V-4B 100W Reissue Pt2

Does anyone know if the rubber feet on the bottom of the new SVT112AV fit perfectly into the top recessed cups if I was to stack to SVT112AV's? Seems like they should.

    2013 Ampeg V-4B 100W Reissue Pt2

Well, My replacement head showed up one week after my original one arrived DOA. This one is perfect and sounds amazing through my SVT112AV. Nothing like the smell of a new amp burning in for the first time. Thinking of getting a second SVT112AV cab to stack on top. Does anyone have any...

    Ampeg V4B problem

Well, replacement V4B has been ordered and Ampeg says should be here in about 1 week. No problems with customer service at all. They don't want customers messing around with the inside of a new amp. From a liability aspect I can really understand that. :hyper:

    Ampeg V4B problem

Thanks for all the great advise.I did reseat the tubes..no change. I'll call to get a replacement ordered. In the meantime I'll play around with the tubes. I have 6 draws full of NOS stuff I've collected through the years for guitar amps. I think I'll be wasting my time though, only because...

    Ampeg V4B problem

Yeah, thats what I was afraid of. Been waiting a few weeks to get this one. In 4 decades of buying amps , I've only had this kind of thing happen one other time, with a ptp 65 guitar amp no less.

    Ampeg V4B problem

Well my new V4B and 112 cab came today! Opened the V4B box(double box, really great shipping design), pull out the head and immediately hear a rattle:roll no:,not a great sign. I look in the back and see a preamp tube cover rolling around. I think, wow, this box must have been dropped pretty...

NBD - Fender AM DLX Jazz Bass V (wow!)

Congrats on your new bass. I have one just like it and use it as my main giging bass. I put Sadowsky flats on mine and love the thump I get out of it. Has a wide range of tones, and I find the passive setting to also be useful. I was concerned about how heavy these might be, but mine came in...

    Fender Reggie Hamilton Bass Club

Well, I ordered a Custom Shop RH 5 String in sunburst today. Should be here in early July. This will be my #1 giging bass and compliment my American Deluxe Jazz 5 perfectly. Love that P thump with a J bridge solo. And now the wait!!! Patience..........

    Fender Reggie Hamilton Bass Club

Thanks Rocksolid, I'll check it out. I kinda have my eyes set on a sunburst, but you never know.

    Fender Reggie Hamilton Bass Club

For those of you that own the RH V, do you use the drop tuner on the B string? Does dropping to the A give you problems with the string being too loose or fret buzzing? I'm seriously thinking of ordering a Custom Shop RH 5 string and was wondering about the detuner on a B string. Also some...

    Fender Jazz 5 String Discussion

I also have an American Deluxe V and after much experimenting finally found that Sadowsky Black Label flats really give me the sound I want. Great B having the 60's thump while retaining good articulation along with some high end.
