Check your local Craigs list. You can find some killer deals.

They both have nice tone. The He sounded like it had no bottom, like you would need a 15" to go with it. The HLF had good bottom, mid, upper tones and is the one I bought. Best thing to do is go try them side by side if you can.

I guess I'm luck. We have 2 G/C within 2o miles of the house and they both treat me good. Christmas eve I walked in to one and bought a Ampeg SVT-410HLF for $650.00 OTD.

I just started a few months ago, watch out it's a sickness. I started with a Schecter which had a problem. So I returned it for a Fender MIM jazz but I ended up with a Geddy Lee. After a month and really getting in to playing, I bought a Fender American jazz and love it, feels good and great...
