I had a 1976 Jazz with the original "F" bridge cover and it fit fine over the badass II that was on there. I am not sure if they changed the size of those over the years.
Hope that helps
Ben
Here is the deal... I am modding a MIM Jazz. I found a cool BLACK P Bass bridge cover for it. I want to upgrade the bridge on it.
I have been told that a P Bass bridge cover will not fit over a BADASS II bridge. I have seen in various forums that a GOTOH 201 may or may not fit over it...
I am looking to get a pickguard from. I only see guards for the Americans, Custom and older jazz basses.
I am ASSUMING the American guards will fit on the Mexis. I have been told the hole patterns are identical, but I have heard from others that that is not aways the case.
With Mexis...
Cool... thanks... I figured it would work, but I realized that can't recall ever seeing one. I do like the classic "F" style jazz covers... but I thought a smaller P bass style one would be nice.
May seem like a silly question, but I cannot recall ever seeing one and was wondering is there some issue with putting a P bass bridge cover on a Jazz?
If someone has a pic of a Jazz with a P bass bridge cover, I would like to see it.
Thanks,
Ben
GC was blowing one of these out for $299. I thought about getting one but once I sat down with it.... the electronics buzzed like a bumble bee. I went to another store that had one... same thing....
Anyone find a way to overcome this?

I have had a little difficulty finding one. WDONLINE has them but they are the ones with the extra holes. They told me that to get one made for a MIM I would need to send in a tracing. I find this odd considering how common MIM Jazz's are.
Anyone know somewhere where they sell black...
