Kodiakblair, I'm in the USA. Where does she reside? Funny you mention the T40. I got a great deal on one a few years ago. Nice bass for studio work but it's a bit heavy and not that well balanced for gigging. Also, I've moved to being more of a 5 string guy.

Kodiakblair, you're right. In my case, I already I already have a TL-5 but would consider upgrading to one that is in mint condition.

Thanks. That TL-5 has been listed on reverb for quite a long time. It's pricey for the condition it's in - buckle rash and all.

Does anybody know how many TL-5s were made by Peavey? They rarely come up for sale.

Stewmac.com sells bass neck shims. Buy a blank and cut it to size to fit your neck pocket. I have several Millennium USAs. Some need a 0.25 degree shim and some need a 0.5 degree shim. One of them didn't need a shim. The Stewmac shims cost about $9.

Found my problem. Simple... The tuning "leaf" (the part that you grab to tune) was loose on the tuner's shaft. A drop of super thin CA glue at the joint fixed it.

Can you share your wiring diagram? I am modding my Laguna Ocean with the same changes. Thanks.

Question: The MK4CBCs are dual coil. How did you wire the coils? Parallel, series, single coil? Thanks.

The Laguna Ocean bass comes with MK1 Barts. That bass has a toggle switch for active (w/ preamp) operation or passive operation in case the battery dies. Since it can operate without a battery, the MK1 pups must be passive.

Hi, my millis are new to me. I just bought a NOS 4-string and a lightly used 5-string. Love these basses! I've adjusted the action on the 4-string. Plays great now. Still need to check out the 5-string. As for pickup height, I can give you measurements but I have not tried to optimize them...
