I see what you're saying...just pop all my existing components into a fEarful cabinet. Yes, that could be a good way to go. I like it. In fact, I've been looking at a cabinet in the marketplace here on TB that has been listed for ages with no bites. I am tempted.

I think what the OP is saying is basically that he doesn't really dig Paul Jackson's playing/sound/style. Just not a fan of Paul Jackson. Which, I guess is ok.

So I could just build a fEarful cabinet, buy the proper midrange and tweeter, and put everything together? Then I'd have the Avatar cab I'd need to do something with. Could be interesting, but it doesn't sound like the most cost effective way to go.

I got the eminence crossover installed, and we had a gig on Thursday, so had a very good chance to test it out. My first impression as I got set up was that the tweeter is now SUPER hissy. I turn it up to about a little under half, or maybe 1/3. I had wanted post a pic of my amps eq settings...

Yeah, I just noticed that "ErnieD" in there, but I'm pretty sure I was quoting HotelX. Not sure what happened there. I was just referencing his comment that Avatar has switched over to the Eminence xover.

I'm confused on the term "hirsute." I consulted dictionary.com and find that it means "hairy." :-) When I receive the new Eminence crossover I'll post a pic, if that would be interesting to you guys.

Wait a minute.....8ohm???? I definitely ordered a 4ohm and then specifically told them it was a 4ohm replacement. I just noticed the 8ohm stamp on there. Something I'm missing?
