Fender Elite Bass - Precision (PJ) or Jazz?

I love my two Elite Precision’s. The necks feel great and they are top notch in tone production. I think you will love yours.

Fender Elite Bass - Precision (PJ) or Jazz?

I had an elite jazz and precision at the same time. Both are great instruments but I traded the jazz in and got another elite precision in a different color. I personally like the sound of the precision better, plus you can dial in a decent jazz sound without any problem. The necks are different...

Best years for American Standard Fenders?

I checked out all the P basses I could find and found the 2012-2016 American Standards to be the best and most consistent in build and sound. I have a 2014 3tsb that I bought NOS and 2016 Olympic white that I bought used. Both have rosewoods fret boards. The sunburst is a little more mellow...

    Fender Rumble Club

I know it is a sin to criticize the Rumble amp in this forum but the fan noise is far from “non-existent.” I use my control room to practice and I am use to it being dead quiet. I agree that if I was micing the cabinet while playing there would be no problem with fan noise. But when you aren’t...

    Fender Rumble Club

I put my new 500H and one 210 cabinet in my studio and the first thing that I noticed was the fan noise. My studio control room is very quiet and I find this noise a little annoying. It isn’t loud but it definitely isn’t quiet. My practice amp has been an Acoustic Image Contra (great for...

    Fender Rumble Club

My Rumble 500H and two 210 cabinets were delivered this morning. I’m having fun checking everything out and making some noise. I guess I’m going to need a Rumble Club #. I like it a lot. Initially, I was also going to purchase a Rumble 100 for use at smaller gigs or at home but now I don’t...

PJ Users! How often do you use the J pup?

It is nice to have options. I don’t solo with the J pickup but will often dial it in for some j bass bark. It provides a good added brightness that cuts on some songs. But 80% of the time it is P pickup only.

    Going all Gig Bags?

Yes, this is what I’m currently doing. I am considering having 4 gig bags.

    Going all Gig Bags?

I have 4 basses that I regularly take to gigs. I have been using a Mono M80 Standard and love it. But it is a hassle to switch basses out of the hard shell case. So, I’m considering retiring the hard shell cases and buying more Mono gig bags and using them for storage and taking out. This...

    G&L Club Part 7

I recently almost purchased a used USA L-2000. I loved the feel of the neck. It was a standard #12, 9.5 radius. In the end I didn’t buy it. But I have been wondering about the Tribute L-2000. How does the feel of the Tribute compare to the USA model?

Praise and Worship music - what bass do you use?

I play a Fender Elite Precision or an American Standard Precision. Our other bassists use everything from a G&L L-2500, Ibanez 4, and even a Squire 5 string. We all play through a Aguilar Tonehammer DI. The sound guy pretty much controls how our bass sounds in the mix.
