    Who played music this weekend?

Rehearsals with the band, working towards a video demo. Bars are starting to open in E TN. Interestingly we did some shopping in Sevierville yesterday and social distancing seemed to be taking it on the nose. A little disconcerting but not surprising.

Weirdest, incongruous headliner/opener shows(but not necessarily bad)

And then there was Poco opening for Yes. Houston, 1973. Hoffeinz Pavilion.

Anyone mention Toots and the Maytals opening for The Who? They opened up the Summit in Houston. The Who fans were not impressed....

I saw the same tour in Houston. J Geils rocked the house. Yes was awesome as usual for that period.... my first introduction to Yes was when they opened up for Jethro Tull.

Blown away by the bass tone

Tommy Caldwell, Marshall Tucker original lineup. I saw them live a few times and his bass tone impressed me.

What's wrong with this picture, con't

I think it's the distinct lack of tort.

Hmmm.... hope this doesn't get me kicked out of the music biz. But I'm scratching my head, this is their promo pic?

Reactions from your significant other as your "latest" new bass arrives

She supports me most of the time and I try to sell something or use gig money. When she questions me about it I say, with a grin: (1) what was I doing when you met me, and where was I doing it? (Hint: playing music in a bar) (2) didn’t your daddy warn you about marrying a musician? And then...

Swapping out Fender Jazz for something cheep and cheerful

I enjoy my SUB5. I alternate between it and the Am STD Precision 5. Definitely two worlds there. The SUB5 is easier on my old hands and a little lighter.

Don’t click here, you’ll regret it.

A good tech would not let that happen que no? If there is any doubt you put an external force or bias on the neck first in the direction you want it to bend and then turn the nut.. I think I saw a Mark Erlewine YouTube where he did that. I did that one one bass that was questionable...

How many gigs did YOU play last year?

25 or so. Then about 40 Sunday mornings for church. I think there is a little tension there. Close to my age!

What do I do about this singer, do I just break the band up?

And then abandon that group chat and start a new one without him. Not too highly technical and it works.
