A half dozen on bass, a dozen or so on fiddle.
Only 15 this past year. Down from 24 the year before.Seeing at how it's the new year, I took a look back at the gigs I did between the 2 bands I'm in, and a few fill in gigs I did.
I'm not a gig machine as I have a full time day job which limits me a bit, but I still managed to sneak in 45 gigs last year. One of the bands I play in, the keyboardist is a full time gig machine (he does small nursing and senior home solo gigs, plays with multiple bar and wedding bands, etc.), and didn't quite make it to 600 last year.
That's right. 597 gigs in one year!
So I'm curious what some of you guys tallied up over the last 12 months.
I shoot for 2 or 3 a month so I think I did ok overall.
How about it? What say you bass bretheren?
