I've been REALLY wanting this bass but I want one that sounds somewhat similar to the typical P-bass (Mark Hoppus Signature). But I really like the look and price of this Precision Blacktop. Would you say that I should go for it since it can sound similar to a typical P-bass?

After reading more of the forums...I am debating just getting one of the Fender Blacktops. Do you think the Jazz would be more of what I am looking for as opposed to the precision?

I would prefer to be able to get a tone at least similar to the P-bass tone. So the "Fender Blacktop Jazz" would have much more of the punk rock sound to it than the "Fender Blacktop Precision". Wouldn't have thought that from the names lol I really love the look of the Blacktop...
